Spin a bicycle wheel mounted on a long axle.

A long shaft sticks out from one side of the axle of a rubber-rimmed bicycle wheel. The shaft ends in a small brass fitting with a hole in it. A long metal rod with a narrow tip is clamped to the table.

Regular bike wheel.

This brass-edged spoked wheel sits upright in a sturdy frame. On one side, the long axle terminates in a brass fitting with a hole in it. The long, narrow-tipped metal rod from the previous photo is still clamped to the table.

Heavy brass wheel.
