Connect a ball bearing fishing swivel to a Hoberman Sphere mobile. Spin the mobile and pull the string. The sphere will spin faster when it collapses. $A brightly colored Hoberman sphere hangs from a metal clip. This kinetic toy is composed of a series of intersecting rings outlining a sphere. Each 'ring' is made of many small, straight, jointed pieces of plastic set in pairs that 'scissors' closed. With the right pulling action, the entire sphere will collapse to a fraction of its expanded size.
