1R20.20 Bending Beam

4 kg is hung from the center of a meter stick supported at the ends. Orient the meter stick on edge and then on the flat.

Two vertical rods are fixed at the right and left ends of a cart. A smaller rod is fixed perpendicularly to each rod, pointing toward the camera. A meter stick rests on these cross-bars, bridging the nearly meter-long gap between the two vertical rods. A large mass hanger hangs from a string fastened to the center of the meter stick. The mass hanger holds several disc masses. The meter stick is standing on edge and looks fairly straight.
