1N20.12 Rolling Ball on Air Glider

A ball rolls down a small inclined plane mounted on an air track glider. Watch the glider start and stop.

A long glider sits on an air track. A narrow ramp is mounted to the top of the glider, inclined from high on the right to low on the left. The ramp is longer than the glider and is off-set so that more of its extra length is off the right (high) side. A marble is balanced on the ramp, just over the right-hand edge of the glider. A man's finger gently holds the marble in place.

Place putty in holes of ruler to make smooth path.

Allow ball to roll off.

Stop ball from rolling off.
