Air Track Friction

Show there is little friction on an air track. Demonstrate that using vernier motion detector to show acceleration stays at zero except where the direction changes.

A glider slides smoothly along an air track. A motion sensor positioned at the end of the track records the motion of the glider. A small computer screen set in front of the air track displays the data.
