3A70.45 Coupled Masses on Springs
Turn on the air track and set the gliders in motion. Displacing both gliders the same amount in the same direction produces in-phase motion. Displacing them the same amount in opposite directions produces out-of-phase motion. Other displacements produce superpositions of the two modes.
