1K20.25 Phone Book Friction (Version 2)

The instructor is suspended from interleaved sheets of copy paper pinched together with his fingers.  A smiling student sits on a wooden swing suspended from a central cord. The central cord is fastened to a thin metal sheet. Copy paper is clipped to the metal sheet. Copy paper is also clipped to a second metal sheet, suspended above the first. The leaves of copy paper are interlaced between each other, and held at the edges by the student's fingers. A series of chains suspend the top metal sheet from a sturdy ceiling clamp. Essentially, the student is begin held up by the interlaced copy paper, pinched by their thumbs and forefingers.

Hold paper before sitting on.

The apparatus without the student. A short, thin metal sheet hangs from chains fastened to a ceiling clamp. A second metal sheet hangs below the first. Sheets of interleaved copy paper are clipped with standard black binder clips (subbing for the student's fingers). A circular wooden swing seat suspended from the center hangs below the second metal sheet.

Have a second person adjust height of seat after you get on the disk.
