1L20.51 Ellipse Drawing Board

The two nail and string method of drawing an ellipse.

A nail is fixed into each end of a long, flat strip of wood. A string is fixed between the nails with plenty of slack. The demonstrator can adjust its length to draw ellipses of various sizes. The strip is held to a blackboard by a magnetic strip.
