Standard Cavendish experiment with lead balls and optical lever detection.

This Cavendish balance consists of a square teal frame holding a torsional pendulum whose cross-bar ends in two small lead spheres. Two large lead spheres are placed kitty-corner in front and behind the frame. The balance's controls appear in the foreground.
