A toy unicycle rider carrying a balancing pole travels along a string.

This balance toy consists of a small stuffed figure resembling a clown sitting on a small plastic pulley that runs along a horizontal string. The apparatus is designed to evoke the idea of a unicyclist on a tightrope. Long plastic rods ending in plastic balls are fixed to the clown's wrists. The rods extend downward and away from the clown arms for a distance that appears to be about as long as the clown's height. The clown's feet are fixed to the sides of the pulley. The pulley has a short stirrup hanging below it. The string on which the pulley rides sits in the pulley groove, threaded through the stirrup. The stirrup's purpose appears to be to catch the toy should it slip or tip during the demo.
