Place a spoon and match in the tines of a fork and balance the assembly on a small surface area.

In this version of a Martin Gardner party trick, the bowl of a spoon is caught by the tines of a fork. A stiff wooden match also passes through the fork tines and pokes out into the space between the fork and spoon. The tip of the match between the fork and spoon balances on the tip of a short vertical rod, holding the fork and spoon in mid-air.
