Place masses on a platform supported by horizontal leaf springs.

 

A horizontal rectangular metal frame is supported by a table-stand style base. The sides and back of the frame are composed of vertical metal strips. The front metal strip is held horizontally. It is long and wide enough to hold a row of the hooked masses which appear on the table nearby.
