1D55.15 Release Ball on a String

Attach a tennis ball to the side of the bicycle wheel with a string. When the apparatus is in motion, cut the string to display the tangential escape of the ball. Place bucket 3 meters from wheel to drop it in with a 6 inch string rotating at 5 volts, practice.

A bicycle wheel, complete with tire, is fixed to a long shaft through its axis. The wheel is set to spin horizontally from a motor fastened on the shaft below the wheel. Wires run from the motor to a power supply that controls the motor speed. A tennis ball hangs from the rim of the wheel by a short string.
