A larger mass and a smaller mass are attached to opposite ends of a string, which passes through a handle. Twirl the smaller mass around the handle, with the larger mass weighing it down beneath the handle.

A short length of pipe ends in a simple pulley. A bright yellow string runs from a small hooked mass sitting on the table, up and over the pulley, down through the center of the pipe, and out the bottom, ending in a loop fastened to another hooked mass that sits on the table. The pulley is designed to spin as the smaller mass is spun around the pipe.
