A calibrated picket fence is dropped through a photogate to measure “g”.

A strip of plastic colored in alternate black and transparent stripes is held vertically between the jaws of a photogate, a short distance above a tabletop. A controller rests on the table nearby.

Settings for LabQuest: Mode: Photogate, Timing: Gate and Pulse, Set length of object to .025 meters
