1C10.30 Approaching Instantaneous Velocity

A ball passes through two photogates to start and stop a timer. Change spacing of gates to approach instantaneous velocity.

A three-fingered clamp clutches a PVC tube held vertically at the top of a long vertical rod. Two photogates extend below the PVC tube, each one held in a right-angle clamp, easily adjusted vertically and horizontally. The photogates plug into an old CPO timer.
