1D10.20 Cycloid Generator

A disc with a piece of chalk at the edge is rolled along the chalk tray.

A roughly 2-m long rod is magnetically fastened to a blackboard with a Velcro-covered side facing upward. A large wooden disc with a horizontal chalk-holding arm and Velcro-covered rim rolls along the rod. Two arcs drawn by the disc and chalk appear on the blackboard.
