Use the plumb bob method to find the center of gravity of an irregularly shaped object.

 

An irregularly cut piece of wood, looking vaguely like a smooth ink blot, hangs from a table stand. The piece could be well-modeled as a 2D figure facing the camera. A red line and a blue line drawn at angles across the piece intersect at a point near the middle of the piece.
