Place masses on a platform supported by horizontal leaf springs.

 

A horizontal rectangular metal frame is supported by a table-stand style base. The sides and back of the frame are composed of vertical metal strips. The front is a metal strip is held horizontally. The front strip is long and wide enough to hold a row of the hooked masses which appear on the table nearby.
